Myths
of Unspoken Biospheres’ brings across works of two artists Sudheesh K.
and Jeetander Ojha who will be showing in Mumbai for the first time.
The exhibition will be showcasing works done in 2007-2008.
The
two artists seemingly work with diverse idioms. What brings them
together is their imagination about the individual and the social
situations in which one evolves. The given situations extend to
fantastical imaginations and metamorphose to create mythical
landscapes within and around the self. Here they visualize the
unyielding and the ambiguous. Their forms mutate suggesting what may
go beyond the (merely) visible. Sudheesh K. paints landscapes whereas
Jeetander Ojha paints portraits. While Sudheesh creates a personalized
form of myth around ‘complete and perfect’ human-beings, Jeetander
details out objects as portraits with meticulous choice of materials,
revealing the unspoken- the negative within.
They
together bring about in their individualistic ways, the layered
representations of the unsaid said.
