Futures Present I & II was curated by artist and writer Sathyanand Mohan and was held in collaboration with Gallery White, Vadodara. Part I showcased during August 28 and October 18, 2018, featured artworks by Navjot Altaf, Atul Dodiya, Surendran Nair, Baiju Parthan, Sudhir Patwardhan, Anandajit Ray, N. N. Rimzon, T. V. Santhosh and Gulammohammed Sheikh. Part II showcased between November 17 to December 27, 2018, featured artworks by Ravi Agarwal, Zakkir Hussain, K. P. Reji, Ranbir Kaleka, Jitish Kallat, Abir Karmakar, Riyas Komu, Vasudha Thozhur, Vivan Sundaram and Madhusudhanan. 

"Futures Present is an attempt to envisage the kinds of knowledges that art makes possible.  The show emerges from the premise that artistic practice can help us to grasp the historical moment that we inhabit through modalities that are specific to it. In this view, art is not so much a reflection of the prevailing socio-political or economic conditions, but rather a space in which new concepts and affective intensities are generated and mobilized, through which we can find a  line of flight out of the tyranny of the known, or the givenness of the world as it exists."
