THE GUILD ART JOURNAL
Photography
Third Issue
In this issue we
shall take a look at Photography, both - as a subject and as a tool.
From its advent in the nineteenth century it has moved ahead from its
elementary – evidence producing role, such that, given the current
scenario, it becomes necessary to see the place it shares with various
other modes of artistic expression. Apart from the technicalities of
the appropriate lights, focus, aperture, shutter speed, it is
interesting to see how photographers employ it while shuttling
between, its basic role as a tool of documentation, to that of a
camera with a conscience.
